Yeah, I went there.
@rebblesmalls came along too. To Guu-Izakaya, I mean. Food was fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced, but I must say that I was just as enamored by the rumbling eruption of "Irasshaimase!" from the cooking and serving staff that greeted each and every coming and going customer. Sure, you might hear that most other sushi joints you set foot in, but the beaming grins and echoing chorus radiating through this little hut just seemed so sincere each time.
Onto the food!
Takoyaki. Classic Japanese octopus balls.
Okonomiyaki - Japanese squid pancake. Tasted a lot like the octoballs, but in pancake form.
Unagi Doria - cheesy twist on the classic Japanese eel on rice. Rebecca loved this one.
Beef shortribs. Tasted rather bland, compared to the sweeter Korean kalbi that I'm used to.
